I was lucky enough to find this practice several years ago and it has made going to the dentist fun - well, maybe not fun but certainly nothing to worry about. There has been no shaming of me but just excellent work in getting me to where I am comfortable with the way my teeth feel. Dr. Shah has been my primary dentist and she is excellent. I have from time to time seen the other dentists there and they are great as well. Brooke, the hygienist that cleans my teeth takes care in working around my teeth and coordinates well with Dr. Shah. Even when there is an issue with my teeth I am comfortable knowing that I am in excellent hands and will have the best care. One can’t go wrong by going there.

Appt for crown and being Nervous is an understatement. Highly claustrophobic, but Rx was called in and upon arrival was given options to make my visit even more comfortable, with options such as: warm blanket, lavender diffuser, noise canceling headphones, neck pillow, movie/channel of my choice (of course I chose music and just wanted to sleep). Dr Alec Hall was so kind and patient and put me at ease. Never thought I’d say getting a crown would be like visiting a spa. I absolutely love this place and all the staff are so friendly! Hall Dental is a fantastic choice for your dental care. The office is warm and inviting— comfortable and beautiful waiting area and decorative light fixtures throughout the building provide ambient, but not bright, lighting. There is a lot of wood-weathered barn wood on the ceilings and in places on the walls, and lovely modern, understated and tasteful artwork (done by Dr. Hall’s wife!) that contribute to making this the most UNclinical dental office I have ever visited. Blue glass tile and blue/gray/green decor make it a very calming environment. There is yacht-rock style music quietly playing in the background and every dental chair has screens to view lovely nature and other peaceful scenes while reclined. They even offer a pillow for your comfort. My husband and I have recently moved to this area and came from a great dental practice known for having all the most recent advancements in care. This office has all of that, too! The hygienists are great, gentle, and take their time. Even Dr. Hall, who happened to be covering for his son on the day I came in (his son is also a dentist in the practice), took a lot of time with me, explained what he thought I needed and why, and did some of the things other dentists leave to hygienists. Not only that, but he was extremely friendly and personable. We don’t routinely go to the dentist more than twice a year for cleanings, but this is my new dentist. We feel like we hit the goldmine with this one. I have been coming to this office for two years now and was truly impressed today with the level of service I received from Beth. This is the first cleaning I have had with her and I appreciated her focus on whole body health, her thoroughness, and the way she provided me with options based on personal preference to get the best cleaning possible. Great experience. Now at three and a half years in Athens I have grown to love this practice even more. I have had two crowns put in, and two chipped teeth repaired. All went seamlessly. I can’t say enough positive about this practice.

About a month ago, I had a tooth break in half. Dr. Hall saw me that day, polished away the sharpness, and I was scheduled for a crown the next week. This is my new dentist , I had an infected tooth that was extremely painful , I called around noon and they got me in to check it out at 2:00 the same day , needless to say my tooth was cracked and abscessed , the infection was the whole side of my left lower jaw , it needed to be pulled so a few shots of novacaine and out it came , the pressure relief I felt was instant , the entire office is very nice , clean and comfortable , all of the staff that I interacted with were polite and professional , I was impressed with the whole process from start to finish , two thumbs up ! I have only good things to say about the people at Hall Dental. They are caring and helpful, and they listen. A large chunk of a crown came off my tooth during the weekend. I recently learned Hall Dental has a lab and makes crowns while you wait. They gave me an appointment within two days, and listened when I voiced concerns when my regular dentist just shrugged it off three weeks before. After a little more than two hours, I walked out with a couple of small fillings and a brand new crown! I definitely recommend them and expect to be seeing them again for regular maintenance.

I have a big anxiety about the dentist, but everyone I've worked with at Hall has worked so hard to make me feel at ease and not feel ashamed about any of the issues I come in with. Absolutely no shade to prior dentist offices I've worked with in the past, but this is the first place where I felt genuinely heard and not made to feel bad about any of my dental concerns/anxieties. They work very hard to make you feel comfortable both emotionally and physically, and it really means a lot. Also, the place is *gorgeous,* and there are screens on the ceiling (!) so you can watch soothing nature videos while they work on you. It's a hilarious but genuinely helpful touch. I highly recommend them to anyone who can access them. :) Specifically, I've worked with Jessica McCrary and my fiancee has worked with Beth Bentley, and have had fantastic experiences! Just want to give a big shoutout to Hall Dental. They are always on top of their game. They use the latest technology available and are friendly and accommodating when I have a problem. I recently had severe pain in my jaw and was able to see Dr. Alec Hall the morning I called. Several days later the pain moved to a specific tooth so I called the office and he got back to me within 15 minutes. He started me on an antibiotic and fit me into his packed schedule for a root canal. They are a family practice with small town charm and up to date procedures. They are the best of both worlds when it comes to dentistry!

I needed a dental issue addressed as an urgency in May 2020. I called several dental offices but Dr. Hall's office was the only place that was willing to see me the same day! Vicky facilitated the appointment for me and was extremely helpful, courteous and professional. My experience from that point onward just kept getting better. Extremely accommodating and the kindest staff got me in quickly for tooth pain even as a new patient. When I later called in concerned over extreme pain they treated me right away at the office to keep me comfortable until I could get in to an endodontist for a root canal- which they found and scheduled for me less than 24 hours after the pain began! I am typically a very nervous patient, but the staff and doctor kept me laughing somehow and the office is so peaceful and beautiful it made my experience the best yet. Dr. Hall is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. He’s very personable and really listened to me and heard my concerns about my dental health. Plus the office is beautiful and I got to watch cute animal videos on the tv during the whole exam. I highly recommend this dental practice.

We have a very large family, our younger children no longer see a pediatric dentist, due to the experiences that we had. This practice takes care of everyone in our family. I feel this practice from front to back is 5 Star. As parents, we always want the very best experience for our children. We wish we would have never went the pediatric dentist route. Brian inherited me from his Dad when Dr. Hall retired. Now I see Dr. Hall. He has always treated me with a smile and sorta as one of his family. I don't like the side effects of xylocaine/novacaine stuff and he accedes to my wishes and puts up with my twitching about while he works and stops what he's doing to let me catch up whenever I bite him. HA. No, it just takes a grunt. I can't get used to the SCREEN on the ceiling but I normally shut my eyes anyway. I like the music playing thru headphones while he does his thing, but, play some of his music. I brought my own once and I was not able to listen to it later because I associate it with the sound of the drill. His staff doesn't seem to change and I judge that to be a good thing. People get along and it's a nice place to work. I feel cared about and cared for. And I never feel hurried. Shout Out to Dale too! I'll be back.

I have always dreaded going to the dentist, which is maybe why I'm terrible about getting routine cleanings done. I went to see Dr. Hall today for a cleaning and a new patient exam. Olivia cleaned my teeth and was amazing. Everything went very smoothly with no discomfort. She was easy to talk to and helped me relax. After the cleaning I met with Dr. Hall. He was also very easy to talk to and very easy to get along with. You can tell he really loves what he does. The whole staff is incredible and makes you feel like family. I hadn't been to a dentist in a grip. My old dentist retired, the next two I tried were jerks, for lack of a better word, and quite painful with any procedure. After this, years passed. Sometimes I had dental insurance, sometimes not. But I was stubborn about going, and only got more stubborn the longer it had been. Needless to say, there was plenty of work to be done by the time I went to Dr. Shah, after reading a bunch of five-star reviews. I ended up having several appointments with her and Jo, the dental assistant. Both were fantastic, kind, put my mind at ease, thoroughly explained everything, and didn't cause a lick of pain. I can't remember the name of the woman that did my cleaning, but she was also great. Really, everyone I interacted with at Hall Dental, starting with the front desk made for a pleasant experience. I wouldn't generally think of visits to the dentist as being a treat, but life is full of surprises I reckon. Let these folks fix your teeth.

Had two visits to this office recently. The first was a normal check-up with x-rays (I hadn't seen a dentist in several years). The second was a follow-up for a filling (I chipped my front tooth over a decade ago and the composite had a gap forming). Can't say enough good things. I was late for both appointments but the office worked me in (YMMV of course, don't be late for your appointments). Front office woman is friendly and efficient. Dental staff are similarly friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Shah performed my exam and filling (she and Dr. Hall are the two dentists). For the filling, I was in and out of the office in 20 minutes. Literally: I arrived at 1:41, and was checking out at 2:01. In that 20 minutes, Dr. Shah took the time to ensure the filling (which is on the back of my front tooth) sat well with my bottom teeth and my bite. She was obviously extremely proficient with the tools and I never felt like my teeth were being drilled into or abused, and all that without ANY numbing required. She answered all my questions They are somewhat limited in full-coverage insurers, but their prices are not exorbitant. For my first visit, I didn't have my insurance card, and the out-of-pocket price for polishing, full x-rays, and Dr.'s exam came up to $267. I've moved frequently and have several dentists and oral surgeons, and this office is incomparably good. The staff are awesome, Dr. Shah is awesome, and 47 other 5-star reviews speak for themselves. If you're wondering whether to choose this office, stop wondering and call them.

My 6 year old needed an extraction yesterday and it was a remarkably positive experience for her. Dr. Hall and his staff were incredibly patient, kind, gentle and reassuring. I have never been more at ease and comfortable in a dentist office, and that's saying a lot because I have avoided going to the dentist for over 5 years due to severe anxiety and horrible past experiences with dentists. Without being an established patient, I called them on a holiday week (right before Thanksgiving) with a dental emergency and they still graciously made a spot for me to come on that same day. The office is very modern with extremely comfortable chairs and they even have TVs enabled with Roku and personal headphones and remote so you can watch Netflix while they are doing the procedure- it helps drown out the scary noises and gives you something else to focus on. But most importantly, Dr. Hall and his assistant were extremely accommodating to my anxiety and explained everything very thoroughly to me. They were very gentle and answered all my questions/ concerns without making me feel like an idiot. All the other staff were super friendly as well. I just can not say enough good things about them, even their prices are very reasonable. I have already made an appointment for a new patient exam and will definitely continue going to Dr. Hall (without dreading every visit!).

He sent me to a reliable oral surgeon where I first needed work done. Then on to Dr. Hall. His care and concern is terrific. I just had the pleasure of seeing his new office for the first time. I needed a slight adjustment on my bridge. It was easy. Joan is wonderful and then Dr. Hall came in to check my mouth. The office is simply gorgeous! Dr. Brian Hall is a dental artiste extraordinaire. He is also a magician. Over the years, I had at least five dentists attempt to repair the top edges of my lower front teeth, all to no avail. Every time, they would simply break again and become jagged. My smile was ruined, and I was sad that I had lost my smile. Well, NO LONGER!! Dr. Hall has fixed them so perfectly that he truly did give me my smile back. It has been over three years since he repaired them, and they still are perfect and going strong. Hooray for Dr. Hall!!
